After trying this coconut oil along with some flavacol, I have to say that coconut oil is definitely what the Theaters use to make the popcorn.
For me, I found there was too much of a butter flavor to it and mixed with the flavacol, it just wasn't what I was looking for. Perhaps if I would have only used the oil it would have been better.
If you are looking for the butter flavor, then by all means, buy this! You will not be disappointed!
I have to also agree with others that the packets are not ideal and having this in a little jar would be much more convenient. |

Received exactly what I ordered in a timely and professional manner. Used my trusty Whirly Pop and the coconut popping oil with the free sample of Flavacol. I just do not get that movie popcorn taste. Perhaps it's the atmosphere that's missing? It didn't break the bank to give it a try. |

Not any better than my jar of EV coconut oil.
What I wanted: Solid butter flavor and ease of use
What I got: Yellow fingertips, a messy time opening the packet, and minimal butter flavor. Skip it, and buy a jar of Nutiva Coconut Oil.
[Note from Just Poppin Here's a suggestion many of our other customers find useful: put the oil packet in the fridge or freezer prior to use to solidify the oil. Snip off a corner of the packet and squeeze out the oil into your pan like toothpaste. Put the remainder back in the fridge, standing upright (on a door shelf for instance) in a zip lock bag. This is what we do in our own homes also.] |

I thought my other brand worked well, but now I know how wrong I was. I never knew home cooked popcorn could taste this good. Adds a movie theater style taste to your popcorn at a fraction of the price. Who could ask for more?!
The only downside to this is I don't get enough!

I bought this product after purchasing a theater style popcorn popper. This oil (and flavacol) is necessary if you want your popcorn to taste like the popcorn you get at the movies. I actually think you could use this oil and flavacol and pop your corn in a pan. I haven't tried it but I think it would work and I could have saved myself the $$ spend on the kettle popper.
I don't like to measure the oil from the packet so I squeeze the packets into a jar to scoop out and measure. My kettle is small and I only use 1 tbs of oil to 1/4 cup of popcorn per batch. The oil is thick and not easy to get out of the spoon into my kettle but the heat from the kettle will eventually loosen the oil and it will fall off the spoon. |

Oil is okay. Not any better or worse than others I have tried. I use a Whirley Pop Corn Popper. Some directions say oil should not be hot to start with while other directions say oil should be hot. I also used flavocal while popping. Am still striving for popcorn that tastes as good as that of the Las Vegas Airport. Best I have ever had. |

Top Rate! While there are certainly other oils one could buy in the supermarket, why bother! This is exactly like what you get at the theater. Awesome! We keep buying this over and over again. |

The butter flavored coconut oil is pretty good, but I don't know that it's better than the regular coconut oil. The regular coconut oil is five stars. This item does give a little more color to the popcorn. I didn't notice any butter flavor added to the finished popcorn, though. Coconut oil really takes the popcorn flavor up a few notches. The packets are super-convenient to use! |

the popcorn was great, the flavacol added great flavor. The coconut oil was frozen when i got, had to thaw, wasn't that crazy about it

I loved the coconut popping oil, butter flavored. It really made a difference in how well the corn popped because of the high smoke value. Would definitely purchase this again. |
